ABOUT US
Andhjan Kalyan Trust is a non-profit and non-governmental organization working for the all round development and welfare of the disabled since 1992. This Organization though work in the semi developed area of Saurashtra region of Gujarat State of India, it functions Nationally and Internationally when and where any necessity arises for the cause of the disabled. Initially, Andhjan Kalyan Trust was set up for the welfare of the blind, it felt a great need to undertake educational and rehabilitation programmes for the welfare of other categories of the disabled including Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Mentally Retarded, Orthopaedically Handicapped as well as Multi - Handicapped and Cerebral Palsy-Stricken people.
MISSION :
To Educate, Train and Rehabilitate the people with disabilities living in the remotest areas.
VISION:
All people with disabilities shall have equal Rights & Opportunities in participation in the community.
FACILITIES OFFERED
To materialize our concerns for all the persons with disabilities, the organization has been running several projects including:
1. Integrated Education for the Disabled Children.
2. Community Based Rehabilitation for the Disabled.
3. Deaf - blind C.B.R. Project
4. Residential Care Centre for the welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mentally Retarded and Multiple Disabilities at Upleta.
5. Day Care Centre for the welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mentally Retardation and Multiple Disabilities at Dhoraji.
6. Resource Centers for different categories of the Disabled children
7. Physiotherapy Centre
8. Employment and Placement Service
9. Free distribution of Aids and Appliances to the Disabled.
10. Personnel Training and Teaching
BENEFECIARIES
Under this project, 45 children are being benefited with immediate implementation of the special software.

ACTIVITIES / ACHIEVEMENT

ACHIEVEMENTS
1. 1415 no. of disabled people have been covered out of 4325 identified during the last 12 years.
2. 91 no. of Visually Impaired, 45 Hearing Impaired, and 368 Orthopaedically Handicapped have been educated up to 10th & 12th standard and encouraged for higher studies.
3. 213 Mentally Challenged and 23 Multi - Handicapped and Severely Disabled have been trained in Daily Living Skills and Handicraft.
4. 17 Visually Impaired, 10 Hearing Impaired and 35 Orthopaedically Handicapped have been helped to get gainful employment.
5. More than 5,000 Disabled people have been availed Guidance, Counselling & Training and have been rehabilitating in their Socio - Economic Environment.
