ANKUR SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR MENTALLY RETARDED
(Day-Care Centre/School for Mentally Retarded Children)
ABOUT US
"Ankur" Special School for M.R. children is the only Day-Care Centre in Bhavnagar District in Gujarat, established in 1979. New campus with 22,000 sq. ft. construction came in to existence in 1999. Initially, it was started with 10 children and at present, it has 87 children on its roll with 9 qualified teachers imparting training to M.R. children of age 5 to 18 years. It has also created inhouse Physiotherapy, Speech and Play therapy, Music therapy, I.Q. Assessment, etc. The school also has D.S.E. (M.R.) Training College recognized by RCI, New Delhi. It runs mother training, National Trust activities, Genetic Research Centre, Parents Association etc.
