ABOUT US
Kulachi Hansraj Manovikas Kendra is a special wing of kulachi Hansraj Model school, Ashok Vihar, Delhi working under the D.A.V., which is the biggest NGO in the field of education. It started in August 1992 to extend its services to the Mentally Challenged, Physically Challenged, Hearing Impaired and Slow Learners. Starting with just 20 students, it is now providing services to 250 Special children. Our school basically aims at providing an opportunity to Special children to discover themselves and develop their Potentials; to provide children with Mental and Hearing Impairment education matching their abilities and their therapeutic services; to educate the public and professionals about the disabled and to pioneer new services for them.
ACTIVITIES / ACHIEVEMENT
i) HRD Programs Study Center for B.ed, PGPD, Foundation Course (Special Education).
ii) ‘ECO’ Club member of Delhi.
iii) Participation at State, National, International level Games.
iv) Participation in workshops for teachers (for recent updates).
v) Movement Therapy.
vi) Hearing Impaired students cleared Xth Std through open school.
vii) Four students received prizes as cheque from Very Special Arts India – Annual National Art Competition 2005.
viii) Our students won 3 medals in National Swimming championship by Special Olympics in Mumbai.
