ABOUT US
Smarpit is a non-profit- voluntary organization registered under Society registration Act-21 of 1860. The name of the society is “Suryodya Education Society” which is also registered under 51 Disability Act, under 12AA in Income Tax and under 80-G of Income tax. This society was registered in April 2001 and after that it is serving the Mentally & Hearing handicapped children from the last six years.
On the day of inauguration in students joined the school in various stages of retardation and deafness. Smarpit Special School, run by Suryodya Education Society offers a comprehensive programme which covers a range of activities and skills graded according to the age, ability and functional level of each child. They are self care activities, toilet habits, eating, dressing, grooming, communication skills socialization reading, writing, arithmetic, domestic skills recreational skills and safety measures, Vocational training such as art and craft, prepare envelops pot decorating, cooking, Greeting cards making and different type of candle making are given to the children above 18 years old.
Some families have a disrooted view of disability many a disabled child is hidden from the sight. Parents are desperately looking for help to educate and rehabilitate such children. Smarpit offers this helps but insists that the involvement of parents is an essential factor in the project. We admit students of different categories irrespective of caste and creed.
Our Vision & Mission:-
Our vision of radiating the compassionate love of God to the rejected Sections of the Society is realized through our committed and selfless services among these disabled and reaching the unreached and making them useful citizen of our country.
Our Goal-
Seminars and awareness programmes for parents of disabled children to built.
Positive attitudes in accepting their children and helping them to cope up with daily problems.
Vocational training gives opportunities to make these special children self dependent and gainfully employed.
Education and Rehabilitation for the adult Mentally & Hearing handicapped persons.
A shopping center where the products made by these children can be sale.
Widen its sphere of operations in every state.
At present 67 students studying in our institution and 150 children are registered. We have 38 hearing handicapped and 28 are Mentally challenged children and one is Multiple handicapped, 16 teaching and non teaching staff continuously work for the upliftment of these special children. This project is run with the active co operation of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
FACILITIES OFFERED
Smarpit school in its early days provided day care services but gradually it started residential school after seeing the urgent need to include special children in rural areas. It not only imparts education but also provides vocational training to the children with special needs.
Facilities provided are:-
1. Speech and language training
2. Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
3. Vocational training
4. Hostel facilities
5. Transport facilities
6. Free medical facilities which are supported by the dedicated doctors of Rewari.
7.Audiometery Testing.
8. Parent Councelling.
9.Awareness Programmes, Seminars for parents & Teachers.
10.Computer training and teaching through different teaching aids.
11.Weekly visit by Pediatrician & E.N.T Specialists
12.Participation in inter-school competition with normal children.
13.Music, creative arts, dance. Games, picnics, excursions, festivals.
14.Hostel facility under specially trained matrons.
Training at smarpit focuses on maximum independence with self care communication, syllabus and need based training, life skills and above all the confidence to face the world and its challenges.
BENEFECIARIES
Under this project, 67 children are being benefited with immediate implementation of the Special Software.

ACTIVITIES / ACHIEVEMENT
1.Our school students met the Honorable President Mr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam two times.
2.We celebrate World Disabled Day every year with disabled children.
3.Master Pawan participated in Special Olympics on national level, held in Pondicherry and received silver medal in Hand ball event.
4. Community Based Rehabilitation Programme
5.Our deaf students participated in Athletic meet held in Faridabad and got second position in state level.
6.Seminars conducted for creating awareness.
7. President of India invited the children & staff of this school twice and appreciated our work
8. Former student Ghanshyam is running his own general store.
